setting goals, sticking to a plan, and ultimantely achieving success
I joined weight watchers yesterday as part of an attempt to lose weight, feel better, and set a good example to my kids regarding setting goals, sicking to a plan and ultimately achieving success. I do not think anyone reads this besides my mom and sister but I thought that putting out on a public place would help me stick to the plan and give me a place to hopefully document my success. I weigh 203.8 pounds and my ultimate goal is to weigh 130 pounds so that is a total of 73.8 pounds. The way that weight watchers works is that you set small goals to help you get to your big goal, my first small gaol is 20 pounds. I will keep you posted.

Today I was surrounded by lots of people, some were my friends and some were just people. When I took a moment to look around I felt blessed by were I am. I can learn so much from just being and trying. I am a better person for everyone I know and what they add to my life. I have the ability to change things that I come into contact with, to make a diffence to those people I know.
A Winners Promis
I will have confidence in myself
and put my trust in God.
I will have courage for the big things
and patience for the small things.
I will admit mistakes,
learn forgiveness, and
go on with the game.
I will not call myself a loser or a failure until I've failed to try.
I will set sound, worthy goals
and work for them one day at a time
and one play at a time.
I will do what I can and
not worry about scoring, winning, and making the big plays,
because just doing my best
and playing fair is what really makes me a winner,
both in life and on the playing field.
and put my trust in God.
Someday when my children are old enough
Someday when my children are old enough to Understand the logic that motivates a parent,I will tell them
I loved you enough to ask where you were going,With whom, and what time you would be home.
I loved you enough to be silent and let you discover that your new best friend was a creep.
I loved you enough to stand over you for Two hours while you cleaned your room, A job that should have taken 15 minutes.
I loved you enough to let you see anger, Disappointment, and tears in my eyes. Children must learn that their parents aren't perfect.
I loved you enough to let you assume the Responsibility for your actions even when the Penalties were so harsh they almost broke my heart. But most of all
I loved you enough to say NO when I knew you would hate me for it.
Those were the most difficult battles of all. I'm glad I won them, because in the end you won, too. And someday when your children are old enough to understand the logic that motivates parents, you will tell them.
What Football Means To Me
The night before we played in the superbowl game the coaches asked the boys what football ment to them. Most of the boys said things like getting to hit someone and not getting into trouble, being with friends, having fun, etc. Tonight we had our end of season banquet and it was the coaches turn to say what football ment to them. Mark put alot of consideration and preparation into what he said.
"Football to me is a lot of things. Teamwork, committment, toughness, and passion. It's sleepless nights and year round preparation. It's also the sights and sounds of being at Bullhead, where you are surrounded by thousands of kids with the same dream of being a champion. It's the smell of the grass, the rain that shortens practice, the crisp air of a fall morning game, and even the horrible smell coming from those gloves. Football is an emotional roller coaster riding the highs and enduring the lows. But the best part of youth football to me is being a parent watching our boys compete and learn the lessons of life as they grow into young men."
All of our coaches are extraordinary they have taken a group of talented young men and turned them into a team, a group of people that desire to work together to accomplish something great.
