We went camping in the Pecos this past weekend with some friends and had a great time. Jesse and Silver (our black dog) were not so sure camping was the best place they could have been, but they were both good sports. We took Matthew’s friend Tanner who had never been camping before and he had a great time. Brent and Jennifer went with their three kids Tyler (9), Andrew (2), and Calvin (1). This was Andrew and Calvin’s first camping also, they both had fun and enjoyed almost everything, sleeping at night was a little hard. Jeff and Jennifer brought there soon to be first baby still in the belly so he wasn’t much trouble at all. We did A LOT of fishing but did not catch any fish o well as the say goes “A bad of fishing is better than a good day at work”. It is always nice to get away out of reach from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Jesse, Matthew, and I went to moms for a week in June and had a great time. We helped my mom do some work around her land which was fun and rewording. I made a bunch of handmade cards with my sister that turned out really nice. Matthew learned to do dishes the old fashioned way and went on a fishing day trip with his grandma. Jesse enjoyed holding Trek who such a cuddle bug. And we all had a good time swimming at Randy’s pool.
It was a wonderful trip and we can’t wait to go back again.

Provo Utah Here We Come

Matthew participated in the New Mexico junior Olympics state track meet on Saturday June 20th and took 2nd place in the discus and 3rd place in the shot-put securing him a place to participate in the regional track meet that will be hold in Provo Utah July 9th -12th. So we will be making the 9 ½ hour drive to see how well he can do against kids from four other states. He is so existed and we are so proud of him.
